In June 2021, as we moved in, the garden was ablaze with colour and had many glorious shrubs in it. I am afraid we took some of them out in order to get all our vehicles onto the driveway but we will get around to sorting out the garden again once the builders have made a complete mess of it next year doing the kitchen extension for us.
We still have some colour throughout the year and we have had Martin Macfarlane, a local retired forest worker, to help us clear woodland at the back. We have also had James Edgar in with his diggers to desilt the streams that run across the garden so they flow and not flood and also to construct a slipway for us so we can get across our land straight onto the shore to launch ourselves into the water in whatever craft we have.
Gardening, but probably not as you know it!
