Photography

My interest in photography was inherited from both my parents as both of them had always taken photographs throughout their younger life. My father continued taking photography throughout his life and, when I was very young, taught me developing and printing in our bathroom at home. He would lay boards across the bath, install a red light, pin up a blackout curtain (also used for our bedrooms during the summer!), bring in the enlarger, chemicals and developing dishes and off we would go.

I think he would have really enjoyed the photographic developments that have occurred since his death in 1991 but it has now gone so far away from photography as he knew it I'm not sure he would wholly have appreciated it.
